Man, every time I run out of things to be ticked off at Star Wars fandom about, I find a new one. (Passionate defenses of Haydens ROTJ ghost using internally-inconsistent logic that casts Hayden-Anakin as back when he was good, thus signaling restoration, rather than back when he was a self-admitted child-murderer that had not yet performed a redemptive act or shown any contrition and was so wrapped up in his own arrogance and selfishness that he was on the verge of becoming Vader. Really? THATs the symbolic state you think he should return to?) And the more arguments about Star Wars minutae I get into (or even decide to avoid), the more certain I get... When Episode VII comes out, the fan communitys gonna suck. Good move or terrible, there will be three-million spectrums of opinion, each hating the other and blowing them off as illegitimate (you only hate it because its new and not the OT! You only love it because you have no standards and accept anything with the name Star Wars slapped on it!). PT, OT, and CW (not to mention this whole Legends thing) have polarized the community enough- for each thing, some love it, some hate it, some love it and are furious that anyone DOESNT love it, some hate it and are incensed that anyone accepts it... unless we get a heck of a lot better at living and letting live, Episode VII is gonna tear us apart. So lets start practicing now, huh? Clearly, from the above, Ive got a long way to go... ;-)
