Man, just watching the wwe network has only made it more obvious why so many stopped watching wrestling. In the late 90s fans got spoiled. We had Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, DX, nWo, Goldberg, Hardys, Dudleys, E&C, and so on. Then basically all at once most of those people just went away. When the favorites went away people didnt stick around while the industry built up new stars, it was just like when your favorite show ends and they make a spinoff. Old WWE fans viewed the current WWE as what the Joey spinoff was to Friends. Now the things are back to a pretty solid foundation and they seem to be picking up momentum I wouldnt be shocked to see a new boom period from wrestling again. Young wrestlers with star potential, old stars that are bigger names, and decent storylines. I know a lot still will never give it a chance cuz its fake, but I definitely wont be surprised if interested picks up in the next couple years.
