Manchester United London Supporters Club Manchester United are on the brink of an astonishing treble transfer assault. Getting back to the top of the league and qualifying for the Champions League is key objective tasked to Louis Van Gaal and reports suggests the following three players top Van Gaals bill. Manchester United are ready to meet Juventus’s £40m price-tag including Luis Nani for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal as van Gaal looks to bring in a midfield addition who can make an impact in the final third. The 27 year old former Bayer Leverkusen has played a pivotal role during his side’s three consecutive Serie A title successes, scoring goals and providing assists with regularity and that’s something you couldn’t accuse the likes of Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Marouane Fellaini of being able to offer at Old Trafford. Vidal is apparently open to a new challenge and a move to Manchester United may well be one the South American is ready to undertake. Man United are also very close to completing a £37m deal to sign Sporting Lisbon enforcer William Carvalho with his Primeira Liga side looking set to sign young Nigerian Abdullahi Shehu as his replacement. Louis van Gaal does not possess an out and out defensive midfielder and Portuguese powerhouse Carvalho may be the man for the job though the fee for his services is a tad high given his relative lack of top tier experience. Louis Van Gaal has been complementary about William Carvalho in the past and impressed with his world cup displays. Such a move would allow van Gaal to sell Marouane Fellaini, with the Belgian struggling to hold down a position at Old Trafford, the new boss looks set to offload Fellaini with Everton, Newcastle & Stoke all interested in the Belgian International star.. Manchester United are also pursuing Colombian youngster James Rodriguez with Louis van Gaal no doubt impressed by the World Cup displays put in by the AS Monaco man. The Ligue 1 side are reportedly ready to consider offers for the 22 year old but will demand at least £60m for the player they bought less than a year ago from FC Porto for a fee or around £35m. Rodriguez enjoyed a strong first season in the French top tier, finishing the season as the leading assist maker in Ligue 1, and there is understandably a lot of interest in the creative midfielder following his six goal haul in Brazil. Real Madrid are also pursuing Rodriguez, who appears to favour a move to La Liga, stating that his attributes may lend themselves more easily to a move to Spain over a possible Premier League switch; “I’ve said in the past that I’d like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style. “The Premier League is maybe a bit physical, but has such passion and energy - both Spain & England have many big teams Madrid, Manchester, Liverpool & Barcelona. But I am a Monaco player and I’m not thinking about anything like that at the moment.” Manchester United are confident, even thou they cannot offer any player European football this season, that they can secure this quality of player and get the business done before the season kicks off. Ed Woodward & Louis Van Gaal believe these 3 players plus Luke Shaw & Herrera will improve the squad and push Manchester United back above their rivals.
