Many people dont seem to realize that a rescue is not a public - TopicsExpress

Many people dont seem to realize that a rescue is not a public service that pays- MANY feel it is a service that they are owed so I need to let you know a few things. FIRST-most of us in rescue, especially dealing in the less appealing dogs such as pit types, spend our own money to accommodate your dog. Many are 501C3 but they still work their selves to death and in most cases, spend everything that they have on their rescue dogs, Im sorry I mean YOUR dogs. SECONDLY-when you call us and tell us how much you love your baby that has been kept outside or on a chain for four years, emaciated, not altered, with no vetting and no heart worm or flea and tick preventative (Id love to see how your children are kept) please note that your neglected dog is not your baby. You are the worst form of human trash that exist and I mean that in the nicest way possible. With THAT being said, if I or anyone else does not return your call in a day or 20, please note that would because most people who rescue pit types and other hard to place dogs do work full time jobs to support their rescues on top of running a full time rescue. We have at least 300 to 600 of you a month calling us. Possibly you can digest this and with this tiny bit of info, figure out wherein the problem lies, but if your surrendering a pet after 4 years, I doubt it. T
