Many thanks to all who have expressed congratulations on my 10 anniversary with MDEs Emergency Response Division. I have a lot of folks to thank for being where I am today... First is probably Chris Hawley, who pointed me down the Haz-Mat career path, next is Chief Buzz Melton (Tawny Shay Hall) who did a mind erase of what I had learned previously about Haz-Mat and impressed upon me the value of proven science (SHOW ME!!!). The next big thanks goes to Alan Williams, who took a chance by hiring me for my current position at MDE 10 years ago... Next, thanks go to the ERD staff: Bob Swann, Neil Jones, Arthur Mayfield Jr., Jeff Molner, Michael Imbierowicz and Terry Haney. I really couldnt ask for a more dedicated and better bunch of Haz-Mat responders! These are the guys who are out there doing the job, day and night, regardless of weather, 365 days a year, protecting human health and the environment, and making me look good in the process! (You may notice from pictures of me that it takes a lot to make me look good, but they still keep trying anyway!!!!) Above all, I thank my family Karen Fox Donahue, Kailyn and Alexa (and Bailey, too) for all of the personal sacrifices they make, putting up with me getting called in to work at any hour of the day, missing out on a variety of events and activities and meals, etc., because Its my job... Lastly, I thank all the rest of my family and friends for supporting me along the way... so many folks have had an influence on my life in one way or another, there is no way I could ever name every single one... So, with that being said... only 16-1/2 more years until I can retire!!! (I carried over 3-1/2 years from my previous position with the State of Maryland)...
