Mary Bastien began her yoga practice in 1997 in Venice, CA. She completed her first teacher training with Shiva Rea, Max Strom, and Saul David Rea. Shortly after Mary met Rod Stryker and has since been his student studying Yoga in the Tantric Lineage. In 2005 she came to Hawaii to share the Vinyasa Flow/ Tantra Hatha Yoga approach to practice and opened Open Space Yoga. Mary has also been studying Ayurveda under Dr. Suhas and applies basic Ayurvedic principles to asana practice. Jennifer Reuter fell in love with the yoga tradition in 1998 after receiving her first copy of the Bhagavad Gita. Being certified in the health and fitness industry since 1995, it was only natural that the passion of yogic philosophy guided her to find the passion of asana on the yoga mat. Her main influences include: Shiva Rea where she received her 500 hour training, as well as the Anusara & Pilates systems. Jennifer is currently enrolled as a senior student to Dr. Paul Muller-Ortega’s philosophical based studies of yoga, tantra and meditation. Since 2008, these in-depth studies, have highlighted the subtle and nuanced understandings of meditation and it’s theory. She is dedicated to her meditative practice where she feels she can access great wisdom, love, and presence. Her classes are mind-fullness based and steeped in philosophy, flow and alignment Diana has a reputation for helping students deepen their experience of asana. What you can expect in Dianas class is a balanced study of alignment with strength, power and flexibility. You will gain a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology. WIth this knowledge, you gain the tools to be able to approach a practice for the rest of your life. You will also learn heart opening Tantric philosophy integrated with awareness of community connection, learning to move from your own inner guidance. The skills gained from this study will engender an attitude of laughter and joy, seeing you thru lifes ups and downs. Pablo Muller has been practicing yoga for 10 years. Eight years ago he met his spiritual teacher and has spent four years living in ashram communities, dedicating his life to the study and practice of yoga. John Friend and his meditation teacher, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda inspire his teachings. His classes are fun, dynamic, and strong. He believes in yoga as a tool for transformation. His lightheartedness is contagious; his students move easily to the next level of their practice. Pablo also has a love for surfing.
