Matthew 28:19-20, The Great Commission, consists of Jesus telling - TopicsExpress

Matthew 28:19-20, The Great Commission, consists of Jesus telling the Disciples, (inherently us as Christians), that we are to tell the world about Jesus and to make Disciples. If your neighbor’s house was on fire, wouldn’t you tell them? That is basically what this is spiritually. Not only should we, but we are commanded to by Jesus. A great way to witness to others would be by giving your testimony. Not everybody has a testimony where they were drug addicts and came to Christ. However, every testimony has meaning; it is what God has done for you in your life. Giving your testimony should consist of you describing what your life was like before you got saved. That could be whatever problems you were facing, how your life used to be, etc. Then, you should tell the person when and how you got saved. Describe the event and what took place. Tell them about the time when you said “yes” to His call. Lastly talk about what you see different in your life since that event, and what He has done in your life. Of course, do not be afraid to admit that you are not perfect and that Jesus is still working on you. However, share what He has definitely changed in your life since your salvation. It is a great and personal way to tell others about Christ. It should be easy for us to talk about real events that have happened in our life, just like anything else. Also, the other person can easily identify with what we are talking about. They may be going through some of the same problems you went through, they might be able to identify with the tug on your heart that you experienced at one point, and might be intrigued by the noticeable changes in your life. Acts 1:8. The Holy Spirit will help us be Jesus’ witnesses to the ends of the Earth. The Holy Spirit will help us be able to openly talk about our faith, so don’t worry. I’ll close this with asking you to read 1 Peter 3:15.
