May 30,2014 Friday, 6th Week of Easter Lord, dispose my heart to readily receive the sufferings of my daily life and allow my faith to fill me with fresh hope that I may endure and embrace them as my daily cross. Grant me great peace and interior joy in the midst of life’s trials as I learn to accept them, become more mature through them and find new meaning in uniting my suffering with Yours. Teach me to be attentive to the unfolding of Your plan day by day because I believe that despite the evils in this world, You are always at work in my life. Help me to exercise my faith in You regardless of the state of my feelings at the moment and strive to pray confidently knowing that You will provide for everything that I need to live as Your child and disciple. As I participate in the pain of “dying” to myself with You, grant that it may bear fruits of peace, joy, righteousness and new life in You. May my short lived sorrow on earth be turned into everlasting joy and unending union with You forever in heaven. Amen Based on Today’s Gospel: John 16:20-23
