May I just make a few things clear; now that I am at long last - TopicsExpress

May I just make a few things clear; now that I am at long last allowed to join the group. I started the auction: Emergency Auction for Angels with Furry Coats, at the request of a friend who was concerned for the health of Pat and her husband. This friend knew I had done an Emergency Rescue for another Group and it had been a huge success. I waited until there was a spot in order to start the auction, as there were so many other auctions running. I started it on the 11th October to finish on the 31st October. Debbie Aspin was in contact with me throughout the setting up process (and has been ever since). After a few days Debbie gave me a number of pictures of goods to put on the auction. Unfortunately the photos were very good, but there were no details at all, because the goods had been packed away. I had to inform people that I did not know the sizes of items, because they were packed away. Despite this, people did start bidding on the goods and kindly donated other goods and it was a full time job putting things on the site. Slowly but surely people did bid and each day there would be other things added until we had 219 Lots. Since the closure of the auction on 31st, I have worked constantly, taking payments and sorting out postages; which I am still doing today. In the meantime I was aware that arguments were forming on the other site. It had nothing to do with me, I was not involved, until yesterday. Despite the PayPal account taking lots of monies for the auction, the promised goods were not evident. People were paying for goods that needed to be sorted for them, wrapped and posted off. The account now holds in excess of £600 and money is still coming in. However I was told that Pat had refused to let the packed away goods to be freed. I then received messages from Pat asking for the monies to be paid to other people. No matter how much I impressed upon her, she really didnt understand my situation, that NO MONIES WOULD BE PASSED OVER until the goods she held (in which people had paid for) was wrapped, posted off and received by the winning bidders. No matter how many times I ask her to free those goods to Debbie she refuses point blank to do it. I told her last night that I intended to send people their money back if the goods were not released, and all I receive are messages begging me to send money for the Podencos in Spain. (I understood the money was going there in any event, so couldnt understand why she was asking me this). FACT IS: No money is going anywhere until those goods are packed up and sent to the people who have already ( and still) paying for them. THATS IT, I gave her until mid-day today to release the goods, and all she tries to do is twang my heartstrings, with the sad situation of the dogs. Thats why I started the auction in the first place! I gave her until mid-day today. I will give her until 5.00pm today and if the goods are not released and I am assured they will be packaged and sent, I WILL send the winning bidders their money back. Now Pat, if you want to erase this you are free to do so, but a copy of this will be put on the Auction site for the bidders to read. As you know I am not directly involved with any of the squabbling that has been going on, and I dont want to be. I just want justice for the people who have kindly donated goods, money and their time to this auction. Thankyou
