Meet Rocky... He was found on Hwy 237 in Dale by Indiana State Trooper, Jason Dunsworth on April 8th, 2014. Rocky had been ran over earlier that day and was left to suffer/die in the road all alone. Officer Dunsworth came across Rocky and was planning to move him off the roadway and realized he was still alive. Officer Dunsworth rushed Rocky to the nearest vets office (St. Francis Animal Hospital) where Dr. Fran discovered that Rocky had several severe injuries including skull fracture, concussion, broken leg, broken jaw, and broken ribs. Over the past 3 months Rocky has endured SEVERAL surgeries to repair all those injuries. He has just finished the last surgery of removing the pins in his leg and he has healed up wonderfully!!! Rocky is now available for adoption and ready for a forever family. If you would like to meet this sweet boy please contact the Perry County Animal Shelter ASAP and we can arrange for him to be brought to the PCAS from his foster home for a meet and greet!! Rocky does well with other animals and children, but also would be ok with being an only pet also. This accident has not slowed Rocky down and he is just as spunky as any other 2 1/2 year old cat. (Top pictures/April 2014 were taken after accident & Bottom pictures/July 2014 were taken within the last 30 days!)
