Meet Shawn the koala who got himself into a terrifying situation after being chased by three dogs and rounded up into a herd of sheep! Amazingly he emerged unscathed after the ordeal and was released back into the wild a few days later. Shawn is one lucky koala but sadly his fortunate escape is a rare occurrence. Close to 20 koalas were admitted to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital last month alone with life threatening injuries caused by domestic dog attacks. Most of these koalas require ongoing vet care over many months and are also fed a specialised diet the entire time to build up their strength and maintain a good body weight.
