Meet new comer Doc! Long Story but we made a 4 hour 1 way trip to pick him up and save him from slaughter under the premise he was free however his owner owed over 1000$ back board and once we got their boarding facility would not let him leave for free unlike he was advertised by owner. They rightfully intended to recoup lost funds and intended to send him to the auction where this thick boy would have become meat! So Doc and us got caught in the middle of other peoples problems :( We couldnt leave knowing this young nice QH gelding would mostly likely die and chose to do the right thing even though we didnt have it to give. It cost us $150 in gas which we expected but then another $500 to get the boarding facility to let us take Doc. He will need his feet done soon and is another mouth to feed heading into winter. The money we used to pay for him was supposed to go toward hay/feed. We are not a 501c3 yet, but we are also not for profit, everything we do is out of our pocket. I make a good living but I pour it all back into the animals, however I am racking up some debt and running out of funds!!! I have done dogs for years and still have a couple long time fosters that were difficult cases. Just started taking in horses this year. Its quite an expense and undertaking. Occasionally someone offers to give me money and I in the past usually turn people down other than an occasional bag of dog food/treats or old blankets etc. I am to the point where if someone is willing to donate money to help, I will humble myself and except it. I am by no means begging as I trust God will make a way even when sometimes it starts to look impossible as he knows eventually our goal is to have a big enough farm to rescue/rehab/rehome more of his beautiful animals and fellowship with others in his word while doing so. Saving animals while we hopefully save some humans along the way! I created a paypal account under Rush.Jennifer5454@gmail if u know anyone who would contribute funds. I think thats all u need to send funds to my account, if not let me know as this is new to me. Monthly we are running at about $135 a month for basic dog food. Averaging 2.5 bales of hay a day so depending on price (going into winter its higher) lets say $6/bale - that will be about $450 + grain so about $500/month. So roughly about 635$ month just to feed everyone...not to include any vet bills, heartworm, shots, dewormer, sawdust, and other supplies to properly keep them! Please dont give money you dont have either....but if you know anyone who loves animals that would like to contribute, we give our word that it will go right back into caring for animals!
