Melody Piehl: (wife of Russell Piehl, flight paramedic on Mercy - TopicsExpress

Melody Piehl: (wife of Russell Piehl, flight paramedic on Mercy AirMed that crashed on January 2, 2013 - no survivors): I would like to ask this question with the hopes of getting some genuine and honest feedback from your readers…my name is Melody Piehl and I am the wife of Russell Piehl who was the flight paramedic on Mercy AirMed that crashed on January 2, 2013 north of Ventura Iowa leaving no survivors. I started a Facebook Page called Remembering Russ Piehl so friends and family could leave photos, memories, stories, and thoughts about Russ to share. Recently I decided to turn Remembering Russ into a foundation with the hopes of making a positive difference out of this devastating situation along with honoring his name and legacy. As a family survivor one of the many questions asked daily is, “why did this happen”, “what caused this” , knowing that we will never really have an answer to that question, one which we deserve. With that being said, I would like to know what is your thoughts about having written policy, or mandates, or legislation for some type of flight data recorder, voice recorder, or similar device on medical helicopters that could be protected from damage and recovered in the event of a crash. Any thoughts or other suggestions please comment here, Like and comment on Remembering Russ Piehl or email me at rememberingruss@gmail. Thank you so much!!!
