MetroNews Morning News Headlines: Jury selection will begin later today in Randolph County Circuit Court where an 18 year old is going to trial for murder. Tommy Vas from Dailey is accused of stabbing to death 17-year old Dustin White in a parking lot before a Tygarts Valley High School football game back in 2012. At the time, both were students at the school. During the investigation, the alleged murder weapon -- a knife -- was lost. In Parkersburg, a man is dead after a shooting at a home in South Parkersburg Sunday night. Parkersburg Police say the 54-year old mans wife was wounded. She was being treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. The investigation continues there today. The 50 cadets who make up the new State Police Cadet Class will be sworn in, later this morning, at the State Police Academy in Kanawha County. Those cadets will graduate in May. Both the U.S. Secretary of Labor and the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health will be in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania today to tour a coal mine. Together, Secretary Thomas Perez and Joseph Main with MSHA will visit Cumberland Coal Resources Cumberland Mine. The company is an affiliate of Alpha Natural Resources. Tickets are now on sale through Marshall University for Saturdays Conference USA Championship Game. The Herd will take on Louisiana Tech in Huntington. Kickoff Saturday is set for NOON.
