MoU signed to donate equipment to GIK SWABI: The Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan (SOPREST) and Fatima Group of Industries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in a ceremony held at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, a pres release said on Monday. SOPREST is the parent body of GIK Institute and under the MoU Fatima Fertilizer Limited would donate laboratory equipment valuing Rs70 million for the newly launched Faculty of Chemical Engineering. The GIK Institute has started four-year Chemical Engineering programme from the current semester.The MoU was inked by SOPREST secretary Samiullah Marwat and Haroon Waheed, group head, Human Resource Division of Fatima Group of Industries. Shamsul Mulk, President of SOPREST, Jehangir Bashar, Rector of GIK Institute, Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Pro-Rector (academic) and Ahsan Basir Sheikh Pro-Rector (Administration and Finance) were present at the ceremony.
