Moes Southwest Grill WARNING -They just opened one nearby so I checked out their website - it states that their food does not contain shellfish, peanuts, treenut and sesame. We went tonight for the first time and I asked to speak to a manager who confirmed this and also provided me with the laminated allergy information - which clearly stated the same thing - the cookies were on the list and shows they do not contain any of those allergens. I ordered my son his meal which came with the cookies. Because I am completely neurotic I flipped the cookies over at the cash to read the label - which had a may contain peanuts and tree nuts warning!! I spoke at length to the manager and explained how misleading and dangerous this is - I also recommended that he not sell the cookies while they look into this. At first he tried telling me how his son with nut allergies eats the cookies without a problem...I basically told him that I didnt care what his son ate - but if you are going to STATE that your foods do not contain allergens - then they should make 100% sure they dont. My husband told me that he would not have checked the label since he had seen the website and the allergy list. Im very upset about this. It makes me question the rest of their ingredients. I already emailed them but was unable to find a phone number. Please share this with anyone who you think may be affected.
