Monday 2-12 - Its a real one-horse town. No hay mucho aqui. Its so remote, and just what I need, as my lost spirit and body begins to heal. This change is good. Food is expensive in the middle of nowhere. Yet, these people, are rich in ways that truly matter. They live so simple, with a message of peace and love. Maria Luisa, in Creel, cooks me the best frijoles y chilis in town. Mica and Clarita, treat me as their own. The Tarahumara women quietly leave behind, tortillas and Pinole outside my room, without a word. Its called Korima, a circle of sharing, a silent and heartfelt gesture of love, without any attachment to the gift left behind, or even expecting a note of gratitude. Their generosity, fuels my mind, body and spirit to do more, to honor Mother Earth. and the Raramuri in a sacred way. The sound of the Rio Batopilas, is a nice sound, as I dream. The water moves and flows, never stagnate, as my wandering spirit continues to believe. This is how I can relate to running. I am fed, nourished, comforted, loved, and finally free, especially with all the Enchiladas this hungry horse can eat! I write by kerosine lamp light on another muy tranquilo night in this beautiful canyon. I feel myself getting stronger in every way. I guess Im not as far gone off, as I felt leaving Austin. I thank our great Creator, the healing Great Spirit, Father Sky, and our Mother Earth for taking great care of me. I can only pray, that the Tarahumara can see, and feel my honor and respect for them. Kuira Ba! (We Are One), this word and belief, such a beautiful thing. Micah True
