Monday Morning Musings... We had wonderful services yesterday and many activities throughout the day. Its always good to be in the Lords house with the Lords people. Here are a few bits of information that may be of benefit to you: --Graveside services for Ira Burke (Glenda Owens dad) will be today at 2:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Please remember Glenda and her family in your prayers --Womens Bible Study meets tonight at 6:00 PM in the FAITH Center. --The funeral of Tracie Holiman will be tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Gould. While she was not a member of our church, her family has many connections to Gould and Dumas. Your pastor will be conducting the funeral. Please pray for the family. --Please remember Rehnea Ferguson and his family in the tragic loss of Sue Ferguson yesterday. If there is any way that we can reach out to that family, please do it, or let me know how we might minister to them. --The deacons appointed a sub-committee that will meet this Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 PM in the conference room at the church. The purpose is to develop an organized way to reach out to shut-ins who are members of our church. If you have an interest in this ministry, please be here Thursday to meet with the deacons. --The church will be feeding the Dumas football team, cheerleaders, and band on Friday, October 17, at 3:00 PM in the FAITH Center. Heath and Bruce take the lead on this with backup help from the Youth Committee. This is a great outreach to our student population and we appreciate those who make this happen. Have a great week....and remember to act in love and be salt and light! Dubs
