Monday following a visit to my doctor for a cough potion, I was immediately rushed down to the Radiology Department in my local hospital for lung xRays to determine the severity of emphysema and possible Cortisone injection into my chest to help me breath... things were not looking too good, in fact the prognosis was not good at all, but I accepted whatever was to come next very calmly, as I have been a smoker for over 35 years and am completely aware of the all the risks I have been taking with my health.... anyway, got a telephone call today from the Consultant who confirmed that my lungs are pretty clear and clean, with just a little fluid around the edges... am on an Inhaler and Cortisone Tabs for the next 10 days and cant believe how lucky I am... this is my second chance and I have now decided to put as much effort into giving up smoking as I did 35 years ago to learn and perfect the practice of sucking fire and chemical fumes into my breathing apparatus so successfully... had the will power to stick at it then, so should be a doddle to call it quits now. And, it really is a very silly thing to be doing anyway. Thats it, thought I would share with anybody who is interested. MWAH XXX MWAH Sab X
