Monday update......... Robbie was able to avoid the hospital over the weekend and stay at home, which was lovely. However he struggled over the weekend and more new side effects emerged. So we were half expecting it not to be a smooth ride today as we went to the hospital to have blood tests prior to high dose IV chemotherapy scheduled for Tuesday. Tests confirmed our concerns-showing a very low white cell count and confirming new side effects. So, we now have a new plan for the week so Robbie can go into high dose IV chemo fighting...... Daily oral chemotherapy stops, rest at home, repeat bloods on Wednesday and then depending on the results and Robbies general condition the Drs are aiming to start the high dose chemotherapy on Thursday with the all important Bone Marrow Biopsy on Friday (only a two day pause in schedule hopefully!) Rest well Robbie, your body needs it and you will be ready to fight the fight later in the week.
