More on contemplating the face of Christ: When the enemy seeks to tear you apart, when his evil minions hide in ambush and wait for their chance to devour you, may Christ arise and stand against them. May he bring the enemy to his knees. May he push the enemy back with the mighty sword of his Word. May Christ save you from those demonic forces who desperately want consume your soul. May your contentment be found, not in wealth, nor in riches, nor the fleeting comforts of lying idols, but may your joy be found in knowing that all is well between you and the Savior. Christian, if you are in Christ, then you are acceptable to God, not because of what you have done, but because Jesus loves you and he will rescue you again and again. And when at last you awake in heaven, you will be fully satisfied, for you will finally and fully see what your heart has longed to see.
