I Love My Island is so pleased and excited to announce The 2nd Annual Merritt Island Turkey-Thon!!! Our goal, with YOUR support, is to raise enough money to buy Thanksgiving Turkeys for deserving students and their families who attend our Merritt Island schools. Each school has already provided us with a number of Turkeys they were hoping to give to their students and it’s our job to make that happen. And that magic number is… drum roll please……….…..ONLY 103 Turkeys! With the generous support of our two premier sponsors Nick Newbury of Merritt Island Beef O Bradys and Kevin Delaney of Total Home Contractors Roofing Division along with My Island Thrift Store together we already have 25 turkeys covered. We have set up a simple and easy process for all of our Islanders to participate in this important campaign. For just $15 you or someone you know can donate a turkey to one of these families. We have set up 2 convenient locations to drop off your donations.
