#MorningDevotion! #WordForToday: CLOSER THAN A BROTHER “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 We all like to belong and to be accepted especially by our peers. While some friends are good for us and some bad for us; some may be good but only for a short season. We should be careful in choosing our friends as the bible says that “bad company corrupts good morals. Jesus’ disciples were his friends but though it was the will of God, he was betrayed by one of them. Not all your friends are truly friends; some would give anything to see you fall and some will lead you astray and enable you. Make Jesus your close companion and he will guide you through life. Jesus promises to be the friend that sticks closer than a brother; that’s pretty close. We all like having close friends and a human best friend will always disappoint you. However, having the Lord Jesus as your best friend is a journey with no disappointments, no worries, no fear and wondrous love.
