Most narcissists dont seem to know the difference between condescending, insulting sarcasm and dry humor. They think its funny to say something demeaning to or about someone else, being openly insulting. They think theyre being clever, but theyll react to the most innocuous dry wit coming from someone else as if its the meanest or most arrogant thing anyones ever said. Or they just wont get it at all, and since they didnt get it, they feel offended like the person is trying to make them feel stupid. Or, since they dont get it, theyll hurl insults, saying its stupid or the person is stupid, or crazy... Another developmental delay or cognitive gap.
