Most of us have some old, worn clothing items in our closets, and many people hang on to them because they don’t know what to do with them and we feel bad throwing these clothes in the trash. But you can always donate your clothes to those in need. Ekta, a charity organization is conducting an “Old Cloth Collection And Donation” drive during 1,2,8,9 of June in Trivandrum City from 10Am to 12:30Pm. Ekta team will visit your home anywhere inside Trivandrum City to collect your old cloths and donate those cloths to old age homes and orphanages. You can even arrange a collection point in your hostel or your school. Collection points can be – Schools, Colleges, Hostels, Flats and Offices etc. Ekta is a group of people from different colleges and work places around Trivandrum, with a dream to do something for those who deserve a helping hand. It stands for ‘Empowering Kerala Through Activities’ and the group has already done many charitable activities. They will be trying to organise a cultural evening for the homeless and the hope-less in the coming months. Even if you don’t wear your used clothing any longer, someone else might.
