Most of you are familiar with storm surveys...after a possible tornado, the National Weather Service sends a team out to survey the damage and give a rating to the tornado, if there was one. We have just been informed that due to the federal government shutdown, these surveys can not be performed, thus; we will not be able to know if this was a tornado or not and how strong it was. The NWS in Memphis is seeking photos and videos of DAMAGE (not of the storm) so a survey can be performed using the media at a later date. If you have media of the damage, please send them to us on our page and we will pass them along.
