Most people enjoy solving problems, meeting needs and influencing behaviour and outcomes which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But while at it, we tend to forget these passages, “God gives ability to all for their particular service” (1Corinthians 12:6) and, “…acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:6). In other words, the Lion’s share of our time should be spent doing what God called us to do, not fulfilling the demands and expectations of others. So let’s understand that, “There is a time for everything” (Ecclesiastes 3:1), and thereafter, recognise our vulnerabilities, learn to be more priority-minded and in all situations, pray for wisdom and guidance!
