Most vulnerable hybrids Three corn specific hybrid types have been involved so far. Two expressed the YieldGard rootworm trait (Cry3Bb1 toxin). One expressed the Agrisure rootworm trait (mCry3A toxin). Gene checks confirmed that they hybrids were producing the appropriate rootworm-targeting toxins. They were the same genetic features found in the Midwest where resistance to Bt by rootworm populations was confirmed.
