(Mother of Classmate Tim Gerard) Kathleen “Katie” (Henderson) Gerard Posted: Monday, Apr 28th, 2014 BY: Bartlett Funeral Home Kathleen “Katie” (Henderson) Gerard, age 89, of Grafton, went to spend her eternal life with the Lord, Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Mon General Hospital. She was born May 10, 1924, in Barbour County, WV, a daughter of the late Bacel Calvin Henderson and Lillian Mae (Swick) Henderson. Her husband, Ross Gerard, preceded her in death in 1983. Katie was a wife, mother, and businesswoman. She was a devout catholic and a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are: one son Timothy Ross Gerard, of Grafton; two daughters, Twila Dawn Reed and husband Mike, of Maidsville, WV, Jacqueline Kay Hunt, of Taylor County; six grandchildren, Ross Phillip Gerard, of Charleston, SC; Haley Nicole Gerard, of Virginia Beach, VA, Megan Ashley Reed and fiancé Nathon Loughery, of Pentress, WV, Stephanie Michelle Reed, of Maidsville, WV, Katelyn Dawn Hunt, of Morgantown, and Steven Daniel Hunt, of Morgantown; four great grandchildren, Mackenzie Gerard, Nathaniel Gerard, Daniel Gerard, and Jaxon Ross Gerard; two sisters, Helen Josephine McCord, of Grafton, and Martha Joan Milinovich and husband Michael, of Rock Cave AZ; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by five siblings, Wanita Howell, Junior Henderson, Walter William Henderson, Emma Jean Lohr, and Margaret Louise Henderson in infancy. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2 – 8 PM. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church. Father Jim O’Connor as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mt.
