Mourinho named Portuguese coach of the century The 51-year-old revealed he still considers his triumphs with Porto to be the greatest of his managerial career and insists he is hungry for further success at Chelsea. Jose Mourinho has been named Coach of the Century at the Portuguese Football Federations 100th anniversary celebrations in Lisbon. Mourinho was honoured at a ceremony in Estoril on Wednesday for a remarkable career that has seen him claim seven league titles in four countries and Champions League triumphs with Porto and Inter. And the humbled 51-year-old, who currently tops the Premier League with Chelsea, revealed he still considers the feats that made hlis name with Porto the greatest of his managerial achievements. Obviously the titles that I won with Porto in this context are the most important in my career because they were titles won with a Portuguese team for Portuguese soccer, Mourinho told the assembled masses as he accepted his award. With Porto it was a unique case because that was winning a Champions League final with nine Portuguese players. It represents a sensation of not only have reachedso many goals in my career but also in some way have contributed to Portuguese soccer. Speaking to Chelseas official website, he added: It is a big honour to be recognised as the best coach in Portuguese football history. After becoming a European champion with Porto, I left my country but during these 12 years in England, Italy and Spain I always felt the responsibility to represent Portuguese football and the people of my country.
