Move Over Negative Self Talk and Make Way for Success What I know and what I have learned is that the most important person you are going to listen to today is your-SELF. There are many voices that call out for our attention no doubt about it, but the one that has the most positive upside or the most negative downside comes from our core. It isn’t what others are saying to us, it comes from what we are saying to ourselves when we talk to ourselves it comes out of the area of our core belief. If you speak to yourself out of a negative way, it is because there is a core belief things are not going well, verses if you speak to yourself in a positive way, then you have a strong core belief that is more positive. There is a well-known expression “our thoughts come out of our heart and issues of life.” Is this true? It is the most important part of who you are and to be mindful of as it relates to success or lack of success. Sometimes we can be our worst critics unfortunately. Try to be more aware of your language throughout the day and re-word the negativity to be more positive. For example: “That was stupid, why did I do that?” to “Next time I will try ……, I will be more effective this way.” Your awareness is a key component to help shift core beliefs to be more positive if they are negative at times. This will create this space of inner peace and acceptance. I say this because I care and I have lived it. Begin the day by drawing attention to this area and speak positively to yourself because you are always listening.
