Mr. Cake has a sweet name, but thats not enough to save his life. Please read his bio and volunteer notes, and help us save his life tonight. Mr Cake was found abandoned in a lot with a female his age , Mrs Cake and a puppy girl, Sweet Cream who does not seem to be his daughter. He is a beautiful and tall dog with a large horsey head and cow-print coat, unfortunately very much skin and bones like his female counterpart. Mr Cake was a bit indifferent upon our first encounter but last night was quite different. He welcomed me with an engaging gentle look and faintly wagging tail. He was leashed easily and off we went for a walk. He pulls slightly, eliminating and marking on the way. He does a lot of sniffing around and pulls toward other dogs , tail high. Mr Cake is as hungry as a bear. He has a lot of weight to catch up with. He sits on command and for treats and comes now when i call him. He is rather friendly, loves a butt scratch and gives now quite a lot of kisses, his tail wagging rapidly.... Mr Cake has made a big turnaround…I guess, he recognizes his friends which tells me that he might have been treated as a pet at some point. Life has not been easy for this 4 year old handsome boy. One can not expect as a result to adopt a perfect pooch with a dog like Mr Cake. He might have felt unsafe many times and hungry. Although he growled at a friendly male during his behavioral evaluation, one has to remember that he was found with two females, one young, one older. Mr Cake has strengths and weaknesses.
