Ms. Taryne Mingo, the school counselor at South Jackson Elementary, recently attended the White House Convening School Counseling task force in San Diego, California. The purpose of the event was to provide feedback to the Office of the First Lady in an effort to create and implement measurable action plans for improving school counseling preparation, programs, and practices with the goal of increasing college access for all students.
