Mulenga Sata Confirmed Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata has, as expected, gone through unopposed as Lusaka City Mayor. He takes over from Daniel Chisenga who served his full two terms. He was imposed for the position by his father – President Michael Sata – following directives for no one to challenge the elections. Mulenga, an ex-street dog trader, is slowly being earmarked for presidency in the ruling Patriotic Front. ALthough it was a foregone conclusion the Kabulonga councillor will go through unopposed, the Patriotic Front public relations wing – The Post Newspaper – recently carried an article accusing the opposition of creating an impression that the President’s son was being prepared without a challenge.
