Music is one of those amazing things in life--it ties in so much with mood and emotion and memories. Ive always loved the Eagles-- a band that has at least 5 or maybe 10 truly great, beautiful songs, a huge accomplishment. I remember back in the 80s or 90s, my friend Jack Criss insisted to me that their best song is One of These Nights, and if you listen to it on nice headphones in a dark room, you can just hear the subtle details and majesty and beauty of the song. I did that many times, at his urging, and so it has always been one of their top favorites to me, ever since he called this to my attention. https://youtube/watch?v=RLCGQagBCOw Its so personal, of course, and subjective. But thats how music goes. I find my taste in bands and music has shifted over the decades; Rush was always my favorite, but in the last few years Ive realized Pink Floyd has supplanted them as my number one favorite group of all time. As for the Eagles, Im thinking now that their best song is either One of These Nights, or maybe, Take It To The Limit.
