This from "SPILL" Remind you of any place, folks? To put things in context, as they say, one must realize that the city in which Fred and Zoe resided had one great overriding fear: that it might one day become “minor league,” like Oklahoma City or Tucson. The fear permeated so deeply into the psyche of the citizenry that it continued, year after year, to pay higher ticket prices to see baseball and football teams that excelled at losing. Each franchise, under beloved past owners, had gained national championships and that glory had entered the DNA of the populace even though fewer and fewer of them had been alive when those championships were attained. The most distant of those victories were by the football team that was later purchased by Frankie DeLucca and inexplicably renamed the Sharks, even though the nearest ocean was many hundreds of miles away. amazon/SPILL-ebook/dp/B005MRA588/ref=sr_1_7?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1316031857&sr=1-7
