Musings from the Pastor: Today, after nearly 2,000 years, the world is still confused about the true identity of Jesus Christ. No other leader either political or religious ever made such a mark on mankind by his presence on this earth as our Lord Jesus Christ. No other leader ever provided for mankind the benefits that Jesus Christ did or taught such sublime truths as those which fell from his lips. Jesus gave to mankind things that no other mortal was capable of giving. Jesus gave us his Words, his Name, his body and his Blood. He baptized us with his Spirit and gave us eternal life. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. (Acts16:4-8 TLB,Amp) The greatest news I could tell this generation today in 2013 is that Jesus Christ lived on earth 2000 years ago; that he died on a cruel cross; was buried in a tomb and stayed there only 3 days and 3 nights; then he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. But that same Jesus is right here today by his Spirit…right now in this very world where we are. In Matt. 18:20, Jesus promised that wherever 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, I am there. Out of this plan of redemption came the Born-Again experience. Man’s sinful nature made him a child of satan. Adam, the son of God by creation, had failed and broken that law and was disowned by a righteous God. But by the law of substitution, the Lord God took all the sin of Adam and placed it in the body of an innocent sinless lamb. Then God executed the Lamb for the sin of Adam and allowed Adam and Eve to go free. That is how God could justify the ungodly. When God baptizes a person with the Holy Ghost, they are justified from all sins and born again! Glory to the Lamb! (Insert a Hallelujah here!) This is how, in Paul’s immortal words, God justifies the ungodly. Read the apostle’s words. Do exactly as the apostles taught and you can be born-again the Bible way. Obey the word of the men who Jesus trained for 3 ½ years and sent into the world saying, “Teach them to do all things which I have commanded you.” That means you must obey those men and those men only in their teaching and preaching. They had the truth delivered to them from Jesus Christ himself. They knew exactly what to preach and they preached the same Gospel everywhere they went. Follow them and you will be saved. Jesus Christ is the power center of the universe! The Word declares that Jesus ascended on high and sat down at the right hand of God. Jesus saith unto him, nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. (Mat 26:64) And this same Jesus, loves you and me with all of our failures and setbacks. All of our issues and excuses, could not keep this Jesus from loving us. And so, my friends are you ready to pursue after a love like this? Are you ready to pursue a King that says, come to me and I will make you my sons and daughters? Are you ready to pursue after the Holy Spirit and receive power to be victorious? Think about it..Jesus the Lover of our Souls.
