My Dearest Friends, Im planning to do Gilderoy Lockhart at Hogwarts on Valentines Day cosplay for Misti Con and I need YOUR help! Now, for those who dont know the incident, one year at Hogwarts, Gilderoy sent himself eight hundred Valentine’s cards, which caused such a pile-up of owls in the Great Hall that breakfast had to be abandoned (far too many feathers and droppings in the porridge). (From Pottermore) Now unlike Gilderoy, who would have spent hours writing love letters and Valentines day cards to himself, carefully disguising his handwriting to make it seem legit, I dont have the time, the handwriting skills (seriously, my hand writing is atrocious) or the magic skills to do this. So.... I thought, Id crowd source it. I was wondering if all my friends, witches, wizards, muggles, trolls... could send Gilderoy Lockhart a valentines day card or a love letter? As all good crowd sources, I want to give something back. Id send you (Or get Gilderoy to personally deliver it, if you are at Misti). A photo of Gilderoy with your letter AND a very speical Lockhart Lovers fanclub badge to be designed by C. Wormwood! And at Misti Con, he will show your cards and read your letters out to anyone who listens (So please keep it PG13+++). If you are interested just post a reply to this post telling me your home country and I will send you an address which is nearest to you. Then write your love letter or card and put it in an envelope with your return address or if you will be at Misti. Since 1) I want you to keep your addresses private 2) That it will have to go via a postal forwarding box and needs to be addressed to someone who is not Gilderoy and 3) That pesky muggle customs might open it up. Can you please put your letter or card in an envelope within an envelope?
