‘My Goal is to see a Northern Nigeria of Sardauna’ – Mohammad Danjuma By Fodio Ahmad Mohammad Danjuma is the National President and Co-Founder of the Arewa Transformation and Empowerment Initiative (ATEI) and also a Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Power, among his other eminent engagements. Undoubtedly, he is a self-motivated, unequalled and magnetic leader whose profundity and passion to redeem the Northern Nigeria is on blaze and fertile. When asked what inspired his taking part to service to humanity, the easy going and charismatic persona said “I feel duty-bound to Northern Nigeria and my goal is to see a Northern Nigeria of Sardauna of Sokoto” Mohammad Danjuma’s sojourn in Youth and Women Skills acquisition is a perfect identity of what history most reckon with. He believes engaging the youths and women into ventures of self employment are a priority that should not be taken with light hands, because the Youths and Women plays a very undeniable vital and influential role in transforming our society. He further said, we don’t have any country better than Nigeria, Nigeria is our home which implies that the future of Nigeria is simply the future of a Nigerian that I am, and this applies to a region called north. The young and charismatic Mohammad is a leader of many colours who has over the years mastered the basic ingredients of leadership spiced up with creativity and innovations. A good listener and very cautious of his words; I mean when speaking he choose his words carefully and still sieve’s them before unleashing them. He said “ at this time, our dear society is been characterize by predicaments like Security challenge, Corruption, Poverty, Decayed Infrastructure, Sick Education system among others. So if we want to combat these societal issues we need to create and innovate ideas, not just ideas but suitable ideas. These ideas need conducive environments to be able to metamorphose” he opined. The qualities of his leadership deliveries are pleasurable and their appeal is enticing. No wonder, the Arewa Transformation and Empowerment Initiative (ATEI) through the office of the Special Adviser to the president on Youth Empowerment for all Northern States got appointed as the implementation consultant of the National Integrated Youths Economic Empowerment Program (IYEEP). Mohammad Danjuma once said “The north must find its way out of this dark woods and come out stronger with a renewed sense of direction and an articulate development marshal plan for the Nigerian project to work, this is unachievable only through a collective effort of all stakeholders” he noted. Of cause a move of such requires more than just stakeholders, it necessitate open mind and critical thinking by challenging one’s thinking nerve. It was said that when Mohammad Danjuma was asked why all the selfless services, instead of enriching his bank accounts, the perpetual thinker tries to balance between facts and sentiments, he noted that service to humanity is a very strong move that can set back on track many wrongs to right and he is very much optimistic that Northern Nigeria will regain back its lost peace and unity irrespective of religion and tribe. Fodio Ahmad put down brick by brick this lexis from Minna, the cobweb of sages.
