My Grannys had a stroke, shes conscious and talking but prognosis isnt too good, all very uncertain. On the train on the way to see her at the moment and Ive written this for her/my family/myself: The Grannyest Granny My Granny Margarets the grannyest Granny, Tales of her kindness, varied and many, Her awareness of her influence, subtle yet uncanny, Aware that positivity breeds love/stifles worry. She seems mild mannered to those that don’t know, But, in a way, she’s putting on a show, To put people at ease, so wherever she may go, She leaves people with a warm, content, loving glow. I didn’t know her when she was younger but I like to believe, That She and my Grandad travelled with ease, Knowing people are good, always wanting to please, Learning the goodness positivity breeds. Her nature is in me, it’s glowing through, bright, Now that I’m maturing I’m shining this light, Of love, and I credit her, for one day I might, Pass this on to MY children and love them just right. So thank you, my Granny, for showing such care, For being so loving, kind, generous, and aware, That if you love people they’ll spread it out there, Oh, Grannyest Granny, Your love’s in the air!
