My KHON Tv2 Report this morning Wake Up 2day: Kaua`i United Way will hold its annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday at Kukui Grove Center Stage. … an excellent opportunity for any Kauai non-profit group to raise money for their own organization. Proceeds are split evenly between the Kauai non-profit group of each walker’s choice and Kauai United Way 30 Participating Agencies. Nearly 100 Kauai non-profits -- including sports teams, church groups, 4-H Clubs, hula halau, canoe clubs – earned funds for themselves in last year’s walk. This is Kauai’s easiest fundraiser. Logistics are provided by the Kapaa High School Interact Club and administration by Kauai United Way. All you have to do is get pledges and walk. Some of the groups walking are Kaua`i High School Key Club -- Delta Kappa Gamma XI Chapter -- Waimea High School JROTC---- ---`Ae Kamalii Preschool -- A Room to Grow Preschool-- West Kaua`i Hongwanji --- K.E.O -- Easter Seals-- Friendship Club --- Kauai High School AOHT-- Boys & Girls Club.
