My New Years Eve? Ive been running back and forth to the Laundromat. As our washer and dryer truly has not stopped in the past 7 days due to illness, Ive had to make several trips in order to wash everyones bedding at once. Ive been bathed in vomit this past week and it finally caught up to me as I was up all night with it and suffered from a migraine all day. Despite our best efforts to keep up on everything, the house is in shambles and I feel like no matter how much were doing, its still not functionable with all of these illnesses. So as were driving to the Laundromat a few hours ago (Kendyl begged me to come as its been a highlight of our fun this week), we werent sure if it would be open, but I was praying to God it was to get everyones bedding done again, for the 3rd time this week. As we pull up and see its open, Kendyl says, Oh Mommy, were sooo soooo lucky! Can you believe it? Its open!!! Yeahhh! Oh were so lucky that we get to clean all of our sick blankets again! ...Right then and there, I could have burst into tears. My gosh, if we all could only see the joy in ALL things as children do. Right then and there, I started to praise God and thank Him for letting the Laundromat be open. I thanked Him that I would be able to get all of our bedding all clean at once, and tomorrow our babies would find their beds back to normal. I thanked Him that our kids were jumping up and down for joy when they learned they got to camp out tonight on the blow up air mattress because their beds werent ready and hugged Terry and I so tightly exclaiming, This is the best day, EVER! As Ive been driving back and forth tonight, I truly couldnt be MORE thankful. We have a warm home that were all under one roof, TOGETHER, in. We have joyful babies no matter what the situation is. I have a husband who is possibly one of the most selfless men on this earth and despite not getting to fully recover AT ALL after us both being sick all night, sucks it up, went grocery shopping, made homemade chicken noodle soup, and let me sleep with the baby during my migraine. So THIS is my New Years Eve....I sit here in tears sharing this as I honestly had my reminder from my children tonight, that we can ALWAYS find joy in EVERY situation. Thank you God for bringing me back to what truly is important. I wish all of you a fun, incredible and SAFE New Years Eve.... Just remember HOW good God is, in every situation. Sometimes we forget to look for it, but its ALWAYS there.
