My cartoon for this week! This one is on the controversial and draconian Sedition Act - which led to a string of arrests and investigation of Opposition lawmakers, academicians, lawyers, a journalist AND a 17-year-old boy for liking a Facebook page. When Najib announced his U-turn decision to retain the act at the Umno annual general assembly last week to apparently preserve the countrys unity and harmony (pfft), I was reminded of the 17-year-old boy who was not only bullied in school for liking a pro-Israeli page, but was threatened to be burnt by his own teachers. However, when a police report was lodged by the kid, the police instead chose to investigate the SPM candidate under the Sedition Act while no action was taken towards the teachers leading the boy to be extremely traumatised by the whole incident.
