My dad was born in 1923 in Pasco County. He cow hunted and raised cattle till the day he died. He was also Road and Bridge Superintendent for the county for about 30 years, paving and repairing roads. He kept a croker sack in his truck and when I was a little kid often he would come home with that sack moving around in the back of the truck. Later on I realized that there was a high correlation of that sack moving around in his truck and us eating fried chicken that evening for supper. Often our chicken had four legs and no wings.
