My daughter and I made some delicious and healthy caramel apples today. I got this fabulous recipe from Chef Aj. You just soak 1# medjool dates in 1 cup almond milk overnight. In the morning blend the mixture with 1 tablespoon vanilla in a high speed blender or food processor. After it is blended put it in a bowl. Get some sticks from a craft shop or kitchen supply store (I didnt have any so I used a skewer to dip the apples) and dip the apples in the date paste. Then roll in topping of choice. I used chopped unsalted peanuts, but you could use any chopped nut, cacao nibs, unsweetened coconut, etc. Watch this hiliarious video with the dynamic duo of Chef AJ and Julieanna Hever on making this delicious treat for Halloween and then go make some for your family. :) youtu.be/fwA7BgtyOME
