My friend Ted Strickland experienced it in 2010. I experienced it in 2012. And Ed will experience it in 2014. A flood of attack ads and smear campaigns will take over our TVs, computers, and mailboxes. Anytime you sit down to one of your favorite TV shows, you’ll see some ad from some group you’ve never heard of, attacking Ed FitzGerald. It’s the same year after year – and since John Kasich has Wall Street’s ATM card in his wallet, the smears won’t stop. I beat those attacks, and Ed will too. But like me, Ed needs support from the grassroots to overpower the corporate sponsors of Kasich’s smear machine. In a few hours, Ed’s campaign could reach the January 31st a few thousand short. Will you chip in $20.14 to win in 2014? I’ve won every race I’ve run but one. Why do I bring that up? Because I know what it takes to win – and I know that Ed FitzGerald can win. Like me, Ed has spent his life in the public eye, from his time as a FBI agent to mayor of Lakewood to Cuyahoga County’s first-ever Executive. Ed will restore accountability to Ohio’s government and fight for the middle class. He knows we must rebuild our economy from the bottom up – that means ending Kasich’s tax breaks for the wealthy. But in order for Ed to watch our backs as Governor, we’re going to have to get his back now. That means chipping in whatever you can to help Ed win in November. I won because of you, and Ed will too: https://secure.edfitzgerald.org/page/contribute/getedsback Sherrod Brown
