My friends I have asked Jeff Judson, San Antonio Tea Party VP who is running for SREC district 25, to let me and others know his position on repealing the Texas Solution. This is a very important point to myself and many other grassroots conservatives. The Texas Solution was adopted at the end of the Texas state convention two years ago a part of the Texas GOP state platform. It was not discussed or analyzed very much. It sounded good even to me, but two years later its obvious the devil is in the details. RINOs and professional Hispanics are supporting because they want cheap labor. Recently, San Antonio businessman Louis Barrios, who is supposed to be a Republican, held a fund raiser for Leticia Van De Putte! Barrios only wants cheap labor for his restaurants. Van De Putte and the Democrats want a path way to citizenship for people who broke the law...they want to reward bad behavior. Others are claiming the harsh anti-immigration tone is scaring Latino voters. Its not scaring me because I hear pro-American, strong border enforcement comments, not anti-Latino rhetoric. There are too many questions regarding this guest worker program supported by the Texas Solution that have not been addressed or answered. How long will they in the US as guest workers? What happens if they fall in love and father children, do we separate the family? What happens if they are injured on the job, does the tax payer pay for their disability? When does this guest worker program kick in, before or after border strong enforcement and e-verify? Do you really trust the Democrats to work with you on such a program without demanding unionization of these foreign workers? Why couple a guest worker program with a welfare reform program that encourages able bodied and capable people to work? Will these guest workers be paid minimum wage or less? These and many other questions must be answered first, especially by anyone who wants to serve on the state GOP party committee leadership. Remove the Texas Solution!
