My generation can be proud of many things. The thing Im most proud of is that we were NOT the ones to coin the phrase, Baby Mama Or Baby Daddy. Even though mistakes were made, our generation still had enough sense to get married and try to work things out, BEFORE the children were old enough to be in the wedding. I am dismayed when I see these stupid shows where there are women with more than one child and more than one sperm donor. I say sperm donor because the welfare system is usually the only responsible parent in the scenario. And to make it worse, they are testing half the male population just to find out who the daddy really is. When did morals and good judgement get the boot? Why is it suddenly a badge of honor to get pregnant first, then plan a big wedding to impress your friends and relatives? When did we fall into this pit of moral destruction? Im not that old fashioned. I just think that if you want to advertise the fact that you sleep around, you might want to consider that your generation is the only one you are impressing, and my generation just may be the only one thinking about your childs future. And, if you are going to have all these children, try actually raising them instead of handing them off to the grandparents to raise. Just because Mommy and Daddy are paying for everything, doesnt mean you have managed to stay off welfare. If you have to dump your children more than 4 days a week with YOUR parents, consider that both you AND your parents have failed. Rant finished. I feel better.
