My good friend Christina Port-Markwardt gave me the number 8, so here are 8 things most people dont know about me: 1. Until I was 12, I wanted to be a nun or a nurse. 2. I re-read Gone With the Wind and Little Women at least once a year. 3. My sister Kate got me hooked on womens college basketball three years ago. Never watched a game until then and now I start filling out my brackets in December. 4. I was baptized as John Miner because the priest at our church didnt think Jana was an appropriate name because there was no Saint Jana. Still isnt. 5. I won a purple ribbon for my banana bread at the South Dakota State Fair in 1966. 6. Im a magazine junkie. I love going to huge bookstores and buying all kinds of magazines and newspapers. 7. I have never understood the rules for tennis. 8. Joel wanted to name our daughter Daisy; my first choices were Meredith, Helen (after my grandma), and Jo Ellen. My guess is that our girl is mighty glad we decided to name her Timmi!
