My gorgeous friend Remedy is running an Ice Kream Making Class (raw, vegan) This is from her newsletter. I am going, anyone going to join me? I want 2015 to be all about INSPIRATION. Being totally motivated by my INSPIRATIONS...............this is where the energy flows folks. I will be an inspiration to myself.........IMAGINE THAT!!! Speaking of which.............I would like to inspire you to attend an AMAZING CLASS on Jan. 25th. This class is for EVERYONE.........no matter your kitchen skills, no matter your kitchen appliances (or lack of).............I cover ALL BASES in this class & make sure that everyone can achieve the same results that I do. Its Summer, its hot.................what do we all love in Summer?..............a creamy, luscious, ICE-KREAM to lick. RAW VEGAN ICE-KREAM -- MAKING WORKSHOP Imagine if I told you that in your freezer right now you could have a choice of; MANGO ICE-KREAM BUTTER-CUP ICE-KREAM LIME KREAM BARS FRENCH VANILLA, STRAWBERRY, WATERMELON GRANITA COCONUT, GINGER SORBET.............the list goes on. I ran this class in November & the content blew everyone away............we churned ice-kream in the class & literally passed the ice-kream bucket around for everyone to take big scoops. The class is structured into 3 sections; #1 We begin the day by making very light, Granitas & Sorbets #2 Move into a section I refer to as ICE-KREAM CONDIMENTS......are you ready; Raw Candied Citrus Zest Marinated Raw Cacao Nibs (chocolate chips) Activated & Caramelized Walnuts Raw Chocolate RAW ICE-KREAM CONES (better than the Danish cones) #3 This is the creamy end of the day. FOCUS on ICE-KREAM making Throughout the class we cover the following; 1. What appliances do we need or can we use to achieve ice-kream (NO NEED FOR AN ICE-KREAM MAKER) 2. How to make your ice-kream scoop-able from the freezer. 3. Serving suggestions. Hand to mouth, right!!! Before that.......some ideas about making it look like a divine dessert. TASTE TESTS..........truly you will leave the class desperate for something savoury. The proof is in the pudding as they say. So what would a class be without sampling our way through. Our FERMENTING COMMUNITY is growing with every class...........& like I shared in my last email, so many people are sharing with me their incredible results. A couple of months ago I attended Remedys fermented veggies workshop. She gave me a lot of information, not just on how to make fermented veggies but on gut health in general. I came away wondering if I would really notice any difference to my body. NOTICE I DID! I followed her recipe and used the BodyEcology culture starter and started fermenting. After about 7 days I started eating the veggies before lunch and dinner and after one week started to realise that I was going through the day without any pains in my stomach. I have suffered with a gluten intolerance for over 10 years and have eliminated many foods from my diet but often still had pains in my stomach and could not work out the reason. I have now been eating the fermented veggies for a couple of months and feel great! Thank you Remedy for continuing to research and for passing your abundance of knowledge on to others. Carmen Hi Remedy Im just writing to tell you my first batch of cultured veggies came out amazing ,I was so over whelmed at first like anything you do for the first time,then I remembered you saying its just a giant coleslaw ! It was so easy I followed the sheet from the class and remembered the things you had talked about and I went for it,today seven days later Ive unwrapped the most amazing tasting cultured veggies how cool is that ,its so exciting thanks so much doing your class made it so easy and fun,cant wait for the cultured kefir class! Alison We have had people arrive to their class so nervous about the SOUR TASTE (knowing that it would be good for them but hating the taste of foods they had tried in the passed)........or the AMOUNT OF WORK.......or POISONING THEIR FAMILY etc etc. Truly every single one of these notions have been addressed in the class.
